wading swimming
scavenging in the interior
nests lined with lichens
splotched juveniles
slight red rings
around dark eyes
smaller in size
usually silent
making prattling-like
quacks while flying
feeding primarily
on bird eggs and lemmings
being fed by both sexes
soon independent yet lumbering
slowly and steadily bills slender
becoming highly aggressive
calling, “hah-hah-hah”
screeching, “keeeeeeee-aaahh!” ...
